Health and Safety: We are required by law to take health and safety seriously – and we do
Health and Safety
Summit Scaffolding Bay of Plenty utilise a training program and employment contract system which has cultivated a team of certified (National Certificate in Advanced Scaffolding) supervisors. A crew of qualified supervisors generally results in a crew of qualified labourers and the scaffolding team who are at the job coal face of Summit’s many varied projects are no different.
In a high-risk industry, it’s vital to have a knowledgeable team on board who understand the ins and outs and potential pitfalls (quite literally) of working at height. Safety is paramount and for the duration of every project, Summit’s procedures in the erection of scaffold, edge protection and containment must tick all H&S boxes.
Checking off the mandated health and safety Good Practice Guidelines 2016 set out by scaffolding governing body, SARNZ (Scaffolding, Access and Rigging New Zealand Inc) and Site Safe NZ, means Summit adheres to WorkSafe NZ’s Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. This document covers all health and safety requirements for any equipment or item used in the construction, erection, dismantling or use of scaffolding.
